The School Board Work Session featured the annual reports of advisory committees and an update on the cell phone policy. Highlights include the Extended Daycare Program's 50th anniversary celebration, planned for October 5th, as well as collaborative work on supporting twice-exceptional learners and feedback on the implementation of our cell phone policy following new Virginia state legislation.Advisory committees presented reports on Advanced Academics, Special Education, Health and Wellness, ESOL, BIE partnerships, and Extended Daycare services. The Board also discussed the impact of new state "bell-to-bell" cell phone requirements and reviewed the effectiveness of current policies at Meridian High School.This meeting marked Dr. Peter Noonan's final School Board meeting as Superintendent before his retirement.
