False apologies

from Let Us Talk About It · host Let us talk about it

False apologies are dangerous, remember abusers outwardly mimick and pretend they mean their apology because they study people around them. They know an apology is what normal people do, so they pretend. They then shift that bad behaviour onto something else to make you look like you're creating "drama" or "crazy". Stay still, breath & do not stay SILENT tell people, call the police and take no nonsense. The abuser wants you to stay silent, watch them react when you draw a line in the sand. Remember ONLY changed behavior means they are truly sorry. Anything else is MANIPULATION to try to silence you.
