How did we get to where we are today? The Bible warns of false teachers, false prophets, false apostles, and deceptive doctrine. The new lies are the same as the old one. A modern day twisting of God's words; like in the beginning - “You will not surely die,” the serpent told her. “For God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Deuteronomy 13:1–3 If there arise among you a prophet… saying, Let us go after other gods… thou shalt not hearken. Deuteronomy 18:20 The prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak… even that prophet shall die. Jeremiah 14:14 The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not. Jeremiah 23:16 Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you… they speak a vision of their own heart. Ezekiel 13:3 Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing.
