I 2014 bliver den unge pædagogstuderende Malthe Thomsen anklaget for at have begået overgreb på børnehavebørn i New York. I dette afsnit af Djævlen i detaljen fortæller hans advokat, Jane Fisher-Byrialsen, om sagen. En sag, der stadig i dag gør hende rasende, fordi Malthe blev udsat for falske anklager. Der var aldrig nogen beviser i sagen. Alligevel blev Malthe slæbt igennem et mareridt på et halvt år og blev blandt andet sat i fængsel med nogle af de farligste kriminelle i USA.
