Lots of people appreciate the opinions of their family or a particular family member about who they're dating or in a serious relationship with. They often turn to certain family members for advice, and sometimes even ask for guidance on handling specific situations. Is that overstepping? Should someone outside the relationship be directing how it should progress based on their perspective, rather than those actually involved?
