Family Foundation is Cracking because they struggle to care for a child with special need.

from The Dr Maya Way

Behind parental panic is love. As a clinician who worked day and night throughout my life, I never knew what parents of Children with special needs go through. I thank parents and JDC Sparsha in Bangalore for allowing me to listen, understand, and correct the errors doctors like me made in the 20th Century.“When a child wakes distressed at two in the morning, or exhibits behaviour that they cannot comprehend, the parent’s fear personalises. The driver of thought spirals out of control, diving into an emotional black hole and asking questions like: What am I missing? Can this wait? Where should I turn? Who can help me?RoboDocMaya was created to address that moment of uncertainty: to help parents understand the cause, communicate their concerns, organise and seek appropriate help.A frightened parent needs someone to listen—and a clear next step.”Why this concerns me?“Across four decades in medicine, I have witnessed suffering caused by clinical decisions, errors in diagnosis or treatment that stay with a doctor long after the consultation ends.I have seen parents leave with unanswered questions. I have heard important details emerge only when someone finally had time to listen.I have also had to recognise what I, as a doctor, could miss. That concerns me deeply. A child’s story, a child's attention, before a brief description becomes a label that follows them through life.”My sacred duty as a warrior priest gives me a profound sense of duty.I understand inheritance as a responsibility to protect, serve, and relieve suffering wherever I can.The pain my soul has endured is difficult to express. Some stories have remained with me for years. I cannot simply forget them when the working day ends. That is why I continue this work. For me, duty means turning what I have witnessed into something that may help another family.”Bringing knowledge and compassion together.RoboDocMaya brings together my clinical experience, AI's pattern-recognition capabilities, and a commitment to compassionate listening. Its purpose is to help preserve the details of a person’s story: when it began, what makes it worse, and how it affects everyday life.It is an AI companion. Qualified professionals and the family make medical assessments and decisions, following protocols and guidelines, claiming it's based on it'sdence", th"t is not"100% correct.I aim to help them gain a clearer, fuller understanding and turn observations into action.“A parent may notice several things at once—a change in behaviour, disturbed sleep, discomfort, or a new physical symptom.RoboDocMaya is instructed to listen, identify, and help organise those observations, then guide the next conversation. In my colour framework, Blue highlights infection-control concerns to protect healthcare workers, while Red highlights urgency to protect children and parents. The purpose is to make the next step understandable. Serious symptoms need prompt professional help; no one should wait for an AI response during an emergency.”Notice what has changed.Parents know the everyday details of their child’s life.Has the child changed from their usual behaviour? When did it start? Does it happen at home, at school, or both? What happens just before it?Those observations deserve to be recorded, because I trusted my intuition and acted, and successfully resuscitated children who were declared dead.RoboDocMaya was created to help bring scattered details into a structured account so that important subtle concerns can be discussed rather than lost between appointments.”Make healthcare understandable“A parent should be able to understand the advice they receive.Protect dignity and informed choice
