Family of Mugger Shot in Queens Shooting Blames the State, Not the Armed Citizen

The D.A. in Queens, New York has charged a 65-year-old man who shot a suspected mugger with illegally possessing his handgun and is weighing murder charges, but the family of the suspected assailant says they blame the state for putting their troubled relative on the streets when he needed serious help with his mental illness.
