Family Relations & Legacy Part 3: Healthy Family Relationships‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬Introduction * Wives are the first ones to addressed to submit to their own husbands.* Submission sounds like a swear word in our day because people abuse the term.* Like every good traits recommended by the bible, devil wants to twist it and make it look bad.* Husband are instructed to love their wives like Christ lives the church.* Children are instructed to obey their parents.* This concept is misinterpreted as power struggle in the family but it’s the only way to have an atmosphere of a healthy family.* Everyone is a leader, it doesn’t matter if you have followers or not.* If you don’t have people whom are following you, you are still leading you.* We can all be leaders but authority levels always differs.Hierarchy of Family Leadership * The big corporations the CEO is the highest authority in the hierarchy followed by COO; CFO; Head in of Human Resources and etc. * The Shareholders holds more power to hire or fire the CEO.* Who is the boss?* Can I talk to your manager?* Who’s the boss in the family?* Is it the Husband?* Is it the Wife? * Is it the children?* Who?* The house that is ran by children is highly disorganised and chaotic.* The house where the husband is overlooked, has no dignity.* Kwa-MaDlamini… is due to the man being disempowered.* When the wife is submitted to her husband people will respect her husband even if he has no reputation.* Who is the boss of this house?* Jesus that the right answer.‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭11‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬* When we have this order we tend to have healthy family.* This solve the abuse of power by man over women.* A man and woman submitted to Jesus leads their families well.‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭11‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬* We depend on each other, no one can make it alone.* Let’s be careful with our words.* This thing of saying men are trash; women are snakes and children are little demons is from the devil.* We need to build strong families and dependence on one another.* What we speak over our families builds or break our families.* Choose to speak life.‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬* A lot of negative comments have been said and we are guilty of it.Children’s Obedience ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬* Children who don’t obey their parents dies before their time.* If you want to live a long life do right and respect your parents.* There is nothing called black tax.* Don’t be stingy to your parents who contributed a lot for you to succeed in life.‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23‬:‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬Woman Leadership‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬* This scripture has been abused in every way it can be.* Key word is own husband not other people’s husband.* If you are having a leadership position at work as a woman over men, take charge and lead with excellence.* Treat everyone with respect but you don’t have submit to the people you are not married to.* Leadership has taken advantage of women in the name of submission.* Submit to your husband whether he is employed or not.* This causes the atmosphere of unity and love in your home.Man Leadership * Man who are Leaders must be submitted to God.* Whose authority are you using to lead?* It makes life easier when we are lead by Jesus as an ultimate leader in our families.* No one will take advantage of the other because we have to account to God for our leadership.‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬* The enemy would like you to love other women that are not your wife.* Resist the temptation of infidelity and love. * When you love right, your wife will also submit to you.Conclusion: Return to Jesus‭‭Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭17‬-‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬* How will our homes look like when they are our place refuge.* When the prodigal son came to his senses, he remembered a healthy home.* Let’s pray to God to make our home a healthy environment.* Jesus is welcoming us to Himself Amen
