Family Show February 20, 2026: What’s the Point of Lent?

So, what is the point of Lent and Easter?  Why did Jesus appear to us, walk among us, die on the cross, resurrect, ascend, and cover you in the Holy Spirit?  Did God really do all that just because He loves you?  Could God have done all that because He wants to immerse Himself in you and He wants you to want to immerse yourself in Him?  If you’re ready for Lent to be more than giving up coffee or donuts and life to be more than a series of empty distractions, come kick off this year’s Lenten Season with Eleanor, Brenda, and Randy, and set your sights on seven weeks designed for your soul to come fully to appreciate its worth.
