Mercy triumphs over judgmentJames 2:13This week we will be looking at the word that Pastor Drummond Robinson shared on Sunday on ‘Family Transformation’.Firstly, it is important that we understand that the battle is about unity and control. God commands us to live in unity. The devil is intent on destroying that unity. We are supposed to give control of our lives to God, but the devil tries to convince us that we need to keep control for ourselves.Secondly, we need to recognise the spiritual forces at work in our relationships (and the world). In the kingdom of God, we have Mercy and Honour. In the kingdom of darkness there is judgment and shame. When we judge others, not only do we place shame on them and put them in bondage, but we are also placed in bondage.Finally, we need to check which set of principles we are operating in. It is not enough to say we do not judge with our words, but then proceed to judge others. We need to walk in mercy and honour in all areas of our lives, but especially inside of our families, because that is where conflict arises the quickest.In which areas of your life do you need to release control back to God?Are you stuck in a cycle of judgement?
