The battle between the Council and Nottingham Forest Football Club looks set to rumble on, after it was intially believed an agreement had been reached. On Monday morning the council revealed the new land deal includes conditions to ensure the club stays at the stadium “for a long time to come”, the council says. However with the club releasing a statement shortly after, saying that the deal had not been confirmed and further negotiations needed to take place over planning permission for the expected City Ground expansion, leaving things still up in the air about the future of the clubs long term home.
