Fantasy Football Champs Radio Week 12: Ice Up Son

from Football Nation · host Football Nation

The Referees interfered with two games in Week 11 but depending on your team loyalty or perhaps Fantasy Football agenda, likely determines what you thought about each penalty. Obviously we are referring to the Roughing the Passer call during the 49ers and Saints game which helped the Saints tie the game in the final minutes and the flag that was later deemed no flag on the very last play of the Patriots and Panthers game. Unlike the Saints-49ers game which really only helped Garrett Hartley and maybe stole a few points from the 49ers defense, it didn’t have major Fantasy Football implications. But the Patriots-Panthers Rob Gronkowski/Luke Kuechly play not only decided the outcome of the game but also some fantasy football outcomes as well. Think about it: Tom Brady and Rob Gronk both could have had TDs on that play. Instead Brady ends up with an INT, which got him negative points, the Panthers get the INT and didn’t let up another score. That’s a tough way to lose if you were banking on Brady, great way to win if you had the Panthers. Because of the penalties and referees those two games over-shadowed the Chiefs and Broncos game which some argue lived up to the billing. But not if you were banking on Jamaal Charles or Eric Decker/Wes Welker. Instead guys like Montee Ball and Dwayne Bowe were scoring TDs. In addition to recapping the action from Week 11, our hosts help you sort your way through the Waiver Wire and set your lineups for Week 12. Remember, just two more games before the Fantasy Post Season, so every point matters from here on out.
