Fantasy Football Champs Radio Week 5: Jimmy Graham Is A Monster
from Football Nation · host Football Nation
Welcome to October. The first month of the NFL season is in the books as is 1/4 of the Fantasy Football Season. Now that we have four games under our belts, it’s much easier to evaluate match-ups which will help identify players to target on the Waiver Wire. Speaking of the Waiver Wire, there were five running backs knocked out of action in Week 4: CJ Spiller/Fred Jackson, Alfred Morris, and Darren McFadden/Marcel Reece. Typically when starting RBs go down with injuries it opens things up for backups to emerge as viable starters and thus resulting in quality players to grab off the Waiver Wire. But as we discuss in the show it seems Spiller and Jackson are both set to play on Thursday night, Alfred Morris has a bye in Week 5 so picking up Roy Helu doesn’t help much. All that being said we are well aware of McFadden’s injury history and with Reece also out. Rashad Jennings may be the most productive Waiver Wire candidate at least for the next few weeks. In addition to the Waiver Wire and Injury Report, we discuss the Champs and Chumps from Week 4 with Football Nation’s Grant Dougherty. Plus we identify the Top 5 performers through the first four weeks of the NFL season at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end.
