Half Sword is a historical fantasy novel that follows Simon the fool as he is pursued across medieval Europe by a sinister league of conjurers called the Apostles of Light. With only a broken sword and his shattered memories, Simon must uncover who he is and why he is drawn to 12th century Rome amidst a struggle for power between warring factions. Half Sword is an action-packed, character-driven historical fantasy. Set in 12th century Europe created by Christopher Matson, Half Sword is an action-packed historical fantasy adventure. What’s in this episode: Christopher Matson will transport us to medieval Europe filled with conjurers, talismans, and hermetic magic with an excerpt from Half Sword. We’ll explore aspects of that world like the customs, politics, and weapons of the 12th century.
