Faraj Mental Health is a non-profit community organization founded in January of 2021. Faraj's main goal is to increase mental health literacy within the Muslim community, provide support and resources to community members, and create a safe space for events that discuss important, taboo, and nuanced topics or issues surrounding mental health and wellbeing within the Muslim community. Faraj uses an intersectional and multidisciplinary approach to its content and resources in order to cater to the diversity and complexity of individuals making up the community, as holistically as possible. Faraj also collaborates with other community organizations, groups, speakers, and representatives in order to help make a greater difference in the lives of people from all walks of life.
