Farm/Dome Build Series: our off-grid solar power system; why we chose to go offgrid to power our aircrete dome home in Panama

In this Friday’s episode we dive into our solar power system! Our original plan was to connect to the grid and have a backup solar system, but that all changed when we got a quote for the thick cables that we needed to get power from the road to our house about 200 yards from the road.Listen to learn more about why we decided to go fully off-grid; what it was like finding a solar company down here; the process of getting the whole system set up; turning power on for the first time; and what we’ve experienced using it so far.Panama is very close to the equator and therefore gets a lot of sun all year long, so we are very happy to be utilizing the power of the sun!------------Follow along with our life and #domehomepanama progress via our Instagrams @nourishfarmpanama and @edddduuuaaaarrdddoooo*Music used with permission from www.joystock.orgIf you enjoyed our show or found something helpful, we'd love for you to leave us a kind review!JOIN OUR MAILING LISTVISIT THE NOURISH FARM PANAMA WEBSITEFOLLOW ALONG WITH US ON INSTAGRAMDONATE TO OUR PODCAST VIA PAYPAL
