Farmers increasingly using buy now pay later services to cover farm expenses

As new data shows Generation X are now the top users of Buy Now Pay Later services, a farmer warns many could walk away from the sector if rising input costs aren't addressed.  Northern Rivers Farmer Pat Bastow lost everything  in the 2022 New South Wales floods, and now uses Buy Now Pay Later to cover hay for livestock, and now can't cut the paddocks due to soaring fuel costs.  Rural Editor Emily Minney spoke to Ms Bastow about what farmers are currently experiencing.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
