Questions for Reflection: Exodus 2:23-251. While we don't know every reason God allowed the children of Israel to be enslaved and suffer in slavery, one reason is suggested in Gen. 15:16 — God giving the Amorites time to repent. How does this shape your view of suffering? How does this shape your view of the cross?2. The children of Israel, although oppressed, maintained their faith in God. In what ways does the passage indicate that? What are ways we can stay faithful to God amidst our suffering?3. In vs. 24-25, the Scriptures tell us that God heard, remembered, saw, and knew as responses to the suffering of his people. Do you think God's people sensed this while theyendured their suffering? Do you feel God's presence in the midst of failure, sin, and struggle?
