My great grandmother, Mammy, lived in a cottage behind my grandparent's house. Every morning that I could, I would get up at 5am and walk down to the river at the end of the street and go fishing with her. She was a very feisty and funny lady. I remember it always thundered and rained a little every day in Florida, but it was hot rain. Often times Mammy would be up even earlier than me, frying chicken for our lunch.
