Fatal Encounters: The Twisted Night That Changed EverythingA 51-year-old woman was taken into custody after allegedly shooting a 21-year-old woman and disposing of her body in her own driveway in Florida following a night out.Yvonne Serrano contacted the police at 5:55 am on Saturday to report a deceased woman in front of her residence in Coral Springs. Initially, she claimed not to know Daniela Tabares Maya, but later admitted that she did. Upon investigation, police found Maya's body lying on her back in a Nissan Kicks SUV with a gunshot wound to her forehead. According to an affidavit, Serrano and Maya, along with a group of acquaintances from Training For Warriors Coral Springs, a local gym, had watched the movie "21 Bridges," starring Chadwick Boseman, at Silverspot Cinema around 7:30 pm before heading to the World of Beer pub.The court document stated that Serrano and Maya were engaged in conversation, laughter, and drinking for several hours. A friend of Maya received a text from her at 1:25 am, stating, "I'm taking Yvonne home." Surveillance footage captured Serrano and Maya leaving the pub together, and additional footage showed them arriving at Serrano's residence at 2 am.When detectives arrived at the scene later that morning, Serrano claimed to have left her Maplewood Isles home on Northwest 100th Drive to go to the gym but immediately called the police upon discovering the body. She stated that she had blacked out at the World of Beer and had no recollection of how she got home. However, Serrano later changed her statement, informing detectives that she woke up sitting in the passenger seat of Maya's car. Serrano also disclosed that she had seen the movie "21 Bridges" with Maya and their gym acquaintances earlier in the evening. Maya's cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the forehead outside Serrano's home. Initially, Serrano denied knowing the victim, but later contradicted herself. Investigators found that she had recently washed a blood-stained dark tank top and deleted Ring video footage recorded by a smart doorbell.Serrano possesses a concealed carry permit and owns three handguns, including two 9mm pistols and one .45 caliber firearm. She informed the police that she had taken her Sig Sauer P365, which fires 9mm rounds, to the pub. The Sig Sauer and its holster were found to have bloodstains. The shell casing discovered outside Maya's Nissan matched a 9mm round.Serrano has been charged with second-degree murder and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. According to a neighbor, Serrano is known for her heavy drinking habits.#policebodycams #bodycam #bodycamarrest #realbodycam #detectiveTrue Crime: The Court of Public Opinion Podcast:  Join the Podcast and dive deeper into the chaos of real-life crime with Alexis Knight! No fluff.
