Fatherhood

An injured runner cannot reach the finish line alone, but his father comes beside him and carries him forward. Israel likewise reached the land God promised after God had carried them through the desert and fought for them. Fear made them refuse. Hebrews 4 says a greater rest remains, made possible by Jesus, even though God’s fatherly care does not remove every hardship.
