This Father’s Day message explores God's character and how it is reflected in earthly fatherhood. Earthly Fathers have a role to provide identity, protection, provision, discipline, and joy. In this sermon we explore scriptures on how each of these traits points beyond physical fathers to God Himself, who is the source of all of them. It emphasizes adoption into God’s family through Christ, our new name and inheritance as His children, and the Spirit within us crying “Abba, Father.” Listeners are invited to see fatherhood not as something to be worshiped, but as a living illustration that draws us to know and trust God more deeply.
