Faulty Elevators (Warriors/Blackcaps/A-League)
from The Niche Cast Hosted by Nick Robinson
This week on the Niche Cast we set the scene with a weekend recap across our kiwi sports beat. Then we offer Australia and New Zealand NBL updates, before going deep into a round one loss for NZ Warriors vs Canberra Raiders. There were some impressive Kiwi-NRL performances with Matthew Timoko and Sebastian Kris leading the way for Raiders, while Isaiah Papali'i started his Penrith Panthers career. Blackcaps are in the Champions Trophy semi-finals, meanwhile Otago won the HBJ Shield final and Canterbury won the Ford Trophy final. We discuss how kiwi cricketers love playing domestic cricket, Otago's female development pipeline and the trend of young players shining with bat and ball across both competitions. Then we roll through Tyler Bindon, Liberato Cacace, Lara Colpi and more kiwi footballers around the world. We finish by breaking down Auckland FC's 4-4 draw with Adelaide United and a losing weekend for both Wellington Phoenix teams.
