Doug is Director of the Musculoskeletal Research Center at the Marcus Institute for Aging Research and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. We met in 7th grade at Tenafly Junior High School in Tenafly, New Jersey.Doug earned his BS at Duke University and his MD at the University of North Carolina, which makes for an interesting conflict of interest between these two bitter rivals. He played soccer at Duke. At Tenafly High School, Doug played soccer, basketball, and baseball.We reconnected when we were both spending time in Florida.
