What the Bible Actually Means by Good and Evil | Faith By Reason

from The Faith By Reason Podcast · host Ed Mabrie

To create is good, to destroy is evil. When Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, they obviously gained knowledge of good and evil. But what does that mean? Our definitions of good and evil are often subjective and contradictory. The Bible links “good” to creation, and “evil” to destruction. But the Bible also says that God can do evil (destruction). How can that be if God is good. As with most topics, we’ll need to look a little deeper to get the full definition. In this week’s podcast:How our subjective definitions of good and evil can actually make Hitler “good”How the Bible defines “good”The true definition of EvilWhy Evil can’t exist on it’s ownWhat does the Bible mean when it says God does “evil”?How God’s “evil” actually leads to long term GoodHow Satan’s “good” leads to long term EvilWhat is dualism and why to evil forces embrace it?For exclusive content, Q&A Videos, and private Bible study, become a Faith By Reason Patreon www.patreon.com/faithbyreasonThis episode is part of the Faith By Reason teaching library — over 100 episodes of in-depth Bible study, Christian apologetics, and systematic theology.🔗 Full series & premium content: faithbyreason.net📚 Spiritual Warfare Course: faithbyreason.net/warfare🎙️ Exclusive content & Bible Study: patreon.com/faithbyreason━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⭐ ENJOY THE SHOW?━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━If this episode helped you, please:- Follow the show on Spotify or Apple Podcasts- Leave a review on Apple Podcasts- Share this episode with someone who needs itReviews and follows help more people discover Faith By Reason — thank you!
