FC 5-21-21 - Classically Black

Good evening everyone … and welcome to “Full Circle,” your cultural affairs radio magazine, produced by members and graduates of the First Voice Apprenticeship Program. We’re broadcasting from our studios in Huichin, occupied Ohlone Territory, now known to settlers as the East Bay Area, via that sliver of occupied Bay Miwok Territory now known to settlers as Pleasant Hill. Tonight, we’ll take in some beautiful, and perhaps unexpected sounds. We’ll... • Hear some fine classical music from African American instrumentalists and composers. • We’ll have a conversation with Anita Lofton, local DJ turned band leader extraordinaire. • We all need sweet music right now. Please … settle back, and just take it all in! All that tonight on “Full Circle.”
