FCM161: How To Use Your Values & Empathy To Create Culture & A Movement Around Your Brand with Kara Wutzke
from The Fitcarma Podcast
Think of this episode as an incredibly successful case study highlighting where the fitness industry needs to go. It's time that we stop competing with each other on the level of the workout, and recognize that what is most important is to identify what it is that you value most in regards to fitness or movement, and what your unique approach to fitness is. For our guest, it's the power of taking small steps. Once you identify what these are, match them with the type of people that need what you believe or also share your values. Show empathy to what they experience on a daily basis with their relationship to fitness. From there, creating a strong culture around these shared values is how you create an unstoppable movement. It requires taking a few huge vulnerable steps- the first one into yourself, your past, your story, and your experiences to identify what your unique approach and values are regarding fitness. The second step is to boldly go out there and shout what it is that you believe from the rooftops- not being afraid to share your story and perspective knowing full well that you might drive some people away. And of course, the third step is to hire and work with people that share your same values, so that you create a true community and culture around what it is that you believe.
