This week it appears the FDA gave approval to the Vuse product normally found in high traffic retail locations such as 711 and major gas stations. In an effort to minimize teen use they have asked the parent company R.J. Reynolds to only offer tobacco flavors as they believe this may reduce the interest among young people who are vaping or thinking about vaping. My position is still the same, we have many company's small and large who have been in this space for years awaiting approval for their products that have been on the market for some time and can show responsible manufacturing practices via FDA certified facilities but the regulations and applications are so confusing and questionable most of your favorite brands are finding it difficult to comply with the new rules in place. How did R.J. Reynolds get a pass when others who have been around longer and have been compliant with the ever changing landscape of tobacco laws get brushed aside, even Juul as large as they are and also have the backing of Altria the parent company of Phillip Morris still has not been given any updates on their application including when Juul as a company made drastic changes to their products voluntarily to appease law makers.
