Recently a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) panel voted to endorse smaller-sized doses of Pfizer's covid vaccine for children between 5 and 11. Details: The FDA panel vote to recommend was unanimous, except for one abstention. The FDA will now make its decision very soon. Big picture: According to 2020 data, there are 28,384,878 kids between 5 and 11 in the United States. Of those 28 million: less than 100 have died from covid - that's a 0.00035% death rate.Is it worth the risk for children?: We established above that kids are basically unaffected by Covid.
