FDA recalls millions of eye drops due to sterility concern

If you use over-the-counter eye drops, you'd better check your medicine cabinet. Nearly 12 million cartons of Rohto Cooling Eye Drops have been voluntarily recalled because of concerns about the products' sterility, according to the FDA. The recalled eye drops were sold at major retailers, including Walmart, CVS and Amazon. The FDA has designated it a Class II recall, meaning using the products may cause "temporary" or "reversible" health effects, but they are not likely to result in serious consequences. The recall includes certain lots with expiration dates ranging from July 2026 through February 2029. If you have the affected drops, stop using them immediately. You can throw the bottle away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
