Continuing Fearfully & Wonderfully Made , this message examines God's design for fathers, mothers, and the marriage relationship through ancient Hebrew word-pictures, prefaced by the weighty scene in Ezekiel 9 where a mark spares those who grieve over sin. The teaching reads the pictographs behind father, mother, and the husband-wife bond: the father as strength in the house (protector and provider), the mother as strength amid chaos, life-giver, and discerning guardian, and marriage as the one relationship where the very name of God is meant to stand at the center. The argument is that male and female are deliberately distinct yet both made in God's image, and that the traditional view of marriage follows from this design. Where God is removed, strong personalities collide; where He is central, the relationship gives life. The Ezekiel mark returns as the call to a broken, contrite heart over sin in any strained relationship.
