Feasting On The Forbidden

from Unstoppable Joy · host Kathryn McAdam

Welcome to the Unstoppable Joy Podcast, where today’s episode is all about forgiveness, specifically forgiving yourself. My name is Kathryn Currie, and I’m excited to dive into this topic with you. Throughout my life, I’ve struggled with self-esteem and self-forgiveness, especially after making mistakes and feeling like I’m ”damaged goods.” But one morning, as I was praying and about to read my Bible, I had a moment of clarity. I opened my Bible to a passage in Acts where Peter has a dream about eating forbidden animals, and God speaks to him saying ”Quit calling impure what I have made.” These words spoke to me on a deeper level, reminding me that I am pure and worthy of love, despite my mistakes. So join me today as we explore the power of forgiveness and how to let go of self-doubt and embrace joy.
