FEBRUARY 10 - Built to Last3-Year-Bible Reading: Proverbs 10:15–16; Psalm 17; Acts 10________________________________________“A rich man’s wealth is his strong city; the poverty of the poor is their ruin. The wage of the righteous leads to life, the gain of the wicked to sin.” — Proverbs 10:15–16“Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.” — Psalm 17:8“So Peter opened his mouth and said: ‘Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.’” — Acts 10:34–35________________________________________We live in a world where popularity, wealth, and followers can seem like everything. Social media screams that status is what makes you matter. But what happens when the likes stop? What lasts when money fades or people move on? The readings today remind us that our real value isn’t in what we have or how we look, but in living a life rooted in God. Proverbs 10 shows that doing what’s right leads to life, while chasing the wrong things leads us nowhere. In Psalm 17, David cries out to God for protection, confident that he’s precious in God's sight. And in Acts 10, Peter realizes that God welcomes everyone who honors Him—no matter their background, culture, or past.________________________________________THINK ABOUT IT1. What Are You Building On? Are you building your confidence on things that can disappear—like popularity, money, or appearance? Proverbs reminds us that only the choices rooted in righteousness last.2. God Sees You: Psalm 17 says God keeps you as the “apple of His eye.” That means you are deeply loved and protected by Him. When you feel overlooked, remember—you’re seen by the One who matters most.3. No Favorites: In Acts, Peter learns that God doesn’t play favorites. No matter your past or where you come from, God invites you to know Him and walk in His truth. Are you making room in your heart and life for others like God does?________________________________________BOTTOM LINEWhat we chase in life shows what we value. True life doesn’t come from wealth, status, or being popular—it comes from living right with God, knowing you’re loved by Him, and following His lead.________________________________________PRAYERHeavenly Father, thank You for seeing me, loving me, and calling me into a life that matters. Help me not to chase things that fade, but to build my life on what’s true and lasting. Teach me to live righteously and to welcome others like You welcome me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
