Whether it’s the encouragement of a friend or a quick text that totally deflates your day, what people say matters—and what you say matters even more. In Proverbs 10:20–21, we see that the words of the righteous are like “choice silver” and have the power to feed many. That’s a pretty cool image: words that give life and strength like a good meal. Then in Acts 13, we see Paul preaching truth boldly, not holding back from declaring the good news of Jesus—even when it wasn’t popular. His words weren’t just talk; they were rooted in truth and changed lives. So, what kind of impact are your words having?________________________________________THINK ABOUT IT1. What are your words worth? If your words were like money, would they be “choice silver” or cheap coins? Do your texts, comments, and convos lift people up or tear them down?2. Are you speaking truth? Paul spoke the truth about Jesus, even when it wasn’t easy. Do you stand up for what’s right, or stay silent to fit in?3. Feed others with your speech: Proverbs says righteous lips feed many. Who can you encourage or speak life into today—maybe a classmate, sibling, or even someone who’s hard to love?________________________________________BOTTOM LINEYour words have the power to hurt or heal. Choose to speak with love, truth, and boldness—just like Jesus did, and just like Paul did in Acts.________________________________________PRAYERHeavenly Father, thank You for showing me that my words matter. Help me use my voice to speak truth, encourage others, and reflect who You are. Give me courage to be bold like Paul and kind like Jesus. Teach me to feed others with my words, not tear them down.
