February 2021 - Why vaccines matter

The editors talk about a cohort study, which found that many older people who had recently been prescribed a calcium-channel blocker for hypertension were subsequently given a loop diuretic. The main article reviews the use of prescribing safety indicators to improve outcomes for patients and the case report is of a patient who developed immune checkpoint inhibitor-mediated large vessel vasculitis.
