This is your encouraging word for today. I've learned over time to be patient, to be kind, to really show some grace. Because with everything going around me, health is shelter. I don't change the atmosphere by feeding into it.
When I feed into it, my mood, my attitude, and even my mental disposition becomes worse. But when I learn to be patient, analyze, take things as they come. Don't be so aggressive, but be ready to make the move when the time is right. I find myself making better decisions, and this decision that I'm more profitable to me and to others.
It all comes from how you look at a situation. Do I look at a situation with anger, stress, strife, dismay, confusion, or do I see problems and challenges, as opportunities to think, to grow, and to get beyond where I was today. I thank God for the challenges of life, because when God tests me, he's simply testing my ability to understand what he's taught me, and he also sticks to my faith in him. I might not have the answer at the moment, but I have to remember that God promised that if I believe in him, he will give me the answers that I need, because he is the one who's ultimately teaching me through others.
I learn from everybody, young and older like. I learn from those I don't like, and those I do like. I just can simply say, I'm always in a learning position, and that's a great position to be in. My thoughts are always about achieving more through learning from others.
God is so good that he put people on this earth just for me to learn from, that I may teach others. One of the principles in the Bible is about handing the word of God over to other men. Simply put, Paul said, I'm gonna hand this to you Timothy, the faith in the word of God, and then you teach it to other men who would teach to other faithful men. Did you catch that?
Other faithful men. See something to hand something over to somebody who doesn't appreciate it, but it's another thing to hand it over to somebody who really values what's being taught. That's what I mean by being a faithful learner. You're dedicated and you're disciplined, and you want to learn what that other person has.
Not necessarily to do anything negative with it, but to definitely move positive into the destiny God has for you. So I want you to thank God today for the people in your life that have come to teach you. The ones you don't know, and the ones that are coming to your life in the future. But every opportunity that you go through in life is a learning opportunity, and you can grow from it.
Good and bad, because the Bible teaches us all things happen to the good for simply those who love God. So if you love God, you're in a learning position. This is Pastor, teacher Dr. James Sutton of Walk and True Christian Fellowship Church.
I want you to be encouraged and be blessed and be ready to learn.
