Fed "Wait and See" Mode on Interest Rates, Inflation & Jobs Data Clash

"We think the Fed can stay in wait and see mode" and see how ecodata evolves, argues Charles Schwab's Collin Martin. Last week's decline in jobs through the July jobs report is something he sees "changing the calculus" of the Fed. Inflation prints will paint a different picture if they come in hot, says Collin, which will heighten interest rate hike expectations.
