Fedeli explains 'Trade War' risks, highlights health care and housing investments

With Ontario in the midst of a snap election, Fedeli defended his government’s record and explained why Premier Doug Ford called an early vote.The discussion also touched on a looming trade war with the United States, key economic concerns, and pressing local issues such as health care and long-term care expansion. Fedeli wasted no time justifying the decision to hold an election ahead of schedule. “We are at war,” he said, referring to what he called an “economic and trade war” with the United States. The decision to move the election up to February 27 was, in part, to ensure that the Ontario government’s term aligns with that of U.S. President Donald Trump, who recently imposed tariffs on Canadian products.
