Federal policies harming agriculture and consumers

Current federal policies are harming both American farmers and consumers. Diesel fuel and fertilizer prices are on the rise thanks to the war in Iran, and Trump’s tariff plan has reduced farmers’ export opportunities. Meanwhile, SNAP and WIC have been cut back drastically. With bailouts to farmers in the tens of billions of dollars, the link between farm policies and food policies grows thin.
