Feedback Resonance

from corpsekaizen12 · host Karoshi

In this experiment, I explored different ways of converting audio into visual motion using CHOP to TOP workflows. The initial audio-reactive effect was functional, but it did not create the kind of movement I was looking for. I then used UV coordinates to displace noise and other visual sources, including the possibility of using video inputs, which added more organic motion. While feedback introduced a sense of continuity and flow, the result still felt like general movement rather than a strong audio-reactive visual. The breakthrough came when I applied edge detection and compositing techniques, as they emphasized the outlines and lines within the image, making the music feel more visible through pulsing and shifting forms.
