Strong Spring Run For Feeder Cattle Sales Feeder cattle sales continue their strong momentum in prices being commanded this past week.  Easter Monday proved to be busy across much of cow country.  Joplin, Missouri led the charge by running 7600 head across the scales with Sioux Falls, South Dakota at 2482 head, Kingdom City, Missouri at 1161 head, Gainesville, Missouri at just a tick over a thousand head and Paris, Kentucky at 943.   Joplin, Missouri was noted as a snappy market by Corbit Wall with good demand across all classes, noting feeder steers were steady to $15 higher and lighter weights $15 to as much as $50 higher.  He also pointed out that runs were unusually light, with far fewer load lots than normal, which limited what went into the index despite stronger trends.
