Feeding The Community with Love Feat Ruth Ivey, Second Harvest East Tennessee

This week we welcome Ruth Ivey., Food Rescue Manager for Second Harvest Food Bank of East TN!  She began her career with Second Harvest almost 20 years ago. In her current position as a Food Rescue Manager, she is responsible for developing and fostering positive relationships with farmers, wholesalers, manufactures, distributors, retail grocery, and food service companies. She also works with  Agency Self-pickup community partners to acquire food donations and she oversees their donations and reporting. She manages 6 Food Rescue staff members that are picking up donations and delivering those donated goods to our community partners 6 days a week.! Second Harvest as been serving the East Tennessee community for so many years so we are excited for you all to hear a more in depth conversation about what they do and how Ruth Ivey serves.
