Today we welcome Michael Santos onto Felony Friday. When Michael was twenty-three years old he was sentenced to forty-five-years in prison for drug trafficking. With credit and good behavior he was released after serving twenty-six years. During his incarceration he published several books, earned his bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and built a significant savings through publishing and trading stocks. Within three weeks after his release from prison he was hired as an adjunct professor at San Francisco State University. Since his release Michael has focused his energy on teaching lessons that empower the incarcerated to live a life of relevance before, during, and after confinement.
