About 70 customers in northwest Floresville were still without electricity at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 10, after power had been restored to other areas affected by a downed transformer. At about 2:30 p.m. Friday, a truck clipped a guy wire on a utility pole at the northwest corner of Plum and First streets in Floresville, according to Floresville Electric Light & Power System CEO Aaron Wagner. The snapping of the guy wire resulted in damage to a transformer, triggering an electrical outage affecting an estimated 1,680 customers in the city.
