FEMA disaster relief fund may soon run out of money

Hurricane season is underway, but word has come out Monday that federal funds many storm victims count on may soon run out. According to the Disaster Relief Fund report from May, funds are projected to run out next month. The immediate disaster funding shortfall is projected to be $2.7 billion near the end of August and $10 billion near the end of September.
