Anna Mercedes teaches contemporary theology, gender studies, and peace studies at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University in central Minnesota. She has loved doing theology in or near the outdoors since her childhood experiences of outdoor ministry. She is a candidate for ordination in the ELCA.
