Feminist vs Toxic femininity

from Brown Roots Hosted by Mark James St. Patrick

The modern woman is fierce, intelligent and holds her own. What happens when that strength turns into abuse. As a woman many say “no such thing!” On the contrary, more than 65% of women will tell you that they have been bullied by women! The average working woman reports that over 15% of the intimidating she receives, comes from the same gender. One of the leading causes in female suicide is, from same sex/peer humiliation, emotional trauma or physical abuse. Our ladies are losing their womanly wiles and replacing it with “lady gone wild” Somewhere, in the trek for equality, some women pushed the journey into assertion, then aggression, and now to abuse. Toxic femininity is here. This self sabotaging behavior is breaking relationships, destroying home, leaving children dysfunctional and making men the scapegoat for it all. Before, we blame it “all” on the women; there are cases where the men are the blame. However, before we start the finger pointing, we have to recognize the signs, become self aware and input processes that will get us back to a healthy, respectful and cognitive understanding of what’s really happening! Listen in as the traits of Toxic Femininity are revealed!
