Femtech and Maternal Health — Julia Slanina CEO & Founder @ Treehouse

Nurturing the maternal care industry, together through technology. View the full video interview here. Julia Slanina is the CEO and Founder of Treehouse. She is a graduate of the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA). Her degrees led her to work in the foreign service; however, due to her love for health and science, she made a career change and started medical school. After one year, she withdrew from studies to take care of her mother who was terminally ill. Because Julia was the primary caregiver for not only her newborn baby but also her late mother, she saw a need to improve the support and community healthcare for families and children across Canada. Since then, she and her team have developed a platform that offers education, resources, and support from trusted experts within the maternal care industry. “I designed Treehouse Medical with the intent to promote positive parenting, streamline maternal health information and build a stronger degree of engagement in the Canadian healthcare network.”
