Fenway TOO WHITE & Easter Baptisms SURGE: A Big Shift Coming? 4/6/26

from Quite Frankly · host Quite Frankly

Easter was chilly, damp, overcast, but satisfying. Over the course of the weekend we got to see a few interesting developments though: First, The Boston Red Sox were trying to get fans hyped up for an April 3rd Opening Day at Fenway Park, and in doing so they tweeted out archival footage from Opening Day in Boston back in the 1950's....within an hour the comments were turned off because all people could comment on was how heavenly a life before the multicultural demolition kicked into high gear. Leftists decried how "white" everything was, and normal people lamented how orderly and serene everything seemed. Anyway, we'll read through some of the comments that were preserved and discuss what these innocuous glimpsed into the past actually DO reveal about the present. We also so a record increase in Baptisms on Easter, especially within the Catholic Church. Is it ever really too little too late for a renaissance? The Terrible Business of Salmon and Dusk Myke Bartlett The Terrible Business of Salmon & Dusk is a podcasted novel (of sorts). When Theodora Jones’s boyfriend disappears, she is the only person in the world who remembers him. Trying to find him leads her to the door of Salmon & Dusk (detectives, thieves and time-travellers). Theo’s adventure will lead her off the maps into some very strange times and places – and put all of human history at risk. Her life, your life and everyone else’s life will never be quite the same again. For fans of Neil Gaiman and Douglas Adams.Written and read by Myke Bartlett.A Burnt Toast Production. Loving Life with Court Courtney "How to heal ourselves?" A question that has left me stumped and made me realize there is not one specific way to answer it. Our paths are all quite different. But at the same time, everyone has the same end goal, to be at peace. Maybe that means to not be triggered by the things we cannot control. It could also mean to accept, to be compassionate with yourself, or to feel a little bit lighter. Now there may not be one specific answer but what I have learnt is that growing, accepting, challenging, understanding, aligning and HEALING become a tad more attainable when we lead with LOVE.
