Notre mot du jour est « fermer ». Fermer, F-E-R-M-E-R, c'est un verbe, un verbe qui exprime l'action de rendre quelque chose inaccessible, bloqué, non ouvert. Il peut également signifier le fait d'arrêter une activité, de cesser l'activité d'un lieu public, de mettre fin à l'ouverture d'un lieu ou d'un événement.En anglais, on dirait « to close » et en espagnol « cerrar ». On pourrait dire par exemple « Clarisse ferme la porte à clé. Elle fait en sorte que la porte ne puisse plus s'ouvrir. Elle bloque la porte.La porte est maintenant fermée. Donc ici, « fermer », c'est l'action inverse d'« ouvrir ». On bloque l'accès, on empêche l'accès. On pourrait dire également « Le magasin ferme à 20 heures.» Cela veut dire qu'à 20 heures, on ne peut plus entrer dans le magasin. Les clients ne peuvent plus entrer après 20 heures. Le magasin ferme ses portes à 8 heures du soir.Donc ici, « fermer » signifie que l'activité du magasin se termine. Le magasin cesse son activité. Et voilà, c'était le mot du jour, « fermer ».
